Arugam Bay is situated in the Indian ocean and in the southeast coast of Srilanka. The location of the bay area is 320 kilometers east of Colombo and 4 kilometers south of Pottuvil town. The bay is regarded as the best surf spot In Srilanka. For surfers it provides six quality surf breaks including the famed Main Point which is a right hand point break. The idyllic bay beach-area is filled with beach-front guesthouses and restaurants providing an ideal getaway for the non-surfer as well.The peak season is between May – August when the Bay would be crowded.
